Elizabeth is named after a women’s college which opened in the 1900’s, is a community of diverse homes, from townhomes, bungalows and brick mansions. The neighborhood revitalization project along Elizabeth Avenue has become a favorite place to hang out and developmental growth in the area. Home to the largest community college in North Carolina and the oldest park, Independence Park, Elizabeth also supports two major hospital systems. After 100 years, Elizabeth will be known once again for the streetcar that will run along Center City in 2015.
Things to Do: the rose gardens at Independence Park, a New Orleans rooftop dinner at The Cajun Queen (order the gumbo!) or a luxurious night out at Carpe Diem followed by a rooftop drink with skyline views at Loft 1523.
